Why PET Recycling Matters

Mismanaged PET plastic can persist in the environment for hundreds of years, whether in landfills or natural waterways. Returning used PET bottles and flake to the recycling process directly reduces the amount of plastic waste that escapes into the environment.

PET is one of the most widely recyclable plastics and can be reprocessed multiple times without losing much of its quality. Using rPET flake instead of producing all-new virgin plastic reduces energy use and petroleum consumption, while lowering greenhouse gas emissions compared to manufacturing new plastic resin.

The high-quality rPET flake from our factory is reprocessed into a wide range of new products — polyester fiber, packaging, and film — closing the loop on the plastics industry's circular economy.
